How Price.win finds and ranks prices
Updated 23 October 2026
Price.win puts the prices that travel sites show for your dates side by side. We take no commission and no payment for placement, so the order of results depends only on price and on how many sites we could compare.
Where prices come from
Hotel prices come from Booking.com, Agoda, Traveloka, Trip.com, iVIVU, Airbnb and Hotels.com. Flight prices come from Google Flights and Agoda.
When you search, Price.win asks each site for its price for your dates and number of guests, as a visitor to that site would see it. While the search runs, the results screen shows which sites have answered and how many results each one returned.
The list of sites changes over time. A site with nothing for your search shows no results.
How fresh the prices are
A new search asks every site at that moment.
If someone searched the same city and dates recently, you see those results straight away, and Price.win asks the sites again in the background once the results are more than two hours old. Flight prices are reused for at most 30 minutes.
Prices and availability change quickly. The site you book on has the final price, so check it there before you pay.
How results are ordered
Hotels: the default order, Recommended, lists first the hotels that two or more sites price, because that is where comparing helps, and the cheapest first within each group. You can sort by price, guest rating or stars instead.
Each hotel shows the lowest price we found. When another site is more expensive, its price is shown struck through with the site's name, and the difference is shown as your saving.
Flights are listed cheapest first, and each one shows the price on every site that sells it.
Taxes, fees and currency
Hotel prices are for the whole stay and include taxes and fees as each site shows them. Airbnb quotes its prices before taxes, and those prices are marked "before taxes". The price per night is the stay total divided by the number of nights.
Flight prices are per passenger.
Prices are collected in US dollars and shown in your currency at a recent exchange rate, so the amount a site charges in its own currency can differ slightly.
No commission, no paid placement
Price.win has no affiliate links, runs no ads and sells no placement. No site can pay to appear higher, or to appear at all.
When you choose a price, the link takes you straight to that site's own page. Price.win adds no tracking code and earns nothing from your booking.
Price labels
"Good price", "about usual" and "higher than usual" compare today's lowest price for your stay with the prices Price.win recorded for the same hotel and dates over the past 30 days. A price is good when it is lower than on every earlier day, or at least 8% below the usual (median) price, and higher than usual when it is at least 8% above it; anything between is about usual. We show no label until we have prices from at least 4 days.
In Prices by date, each check-in date is compared with the other priced dates of the same month: the cheapest third are Low, the most expensive third High, and the rest Mid.
These labels describe prices already seen. They are not a forecast.
